Toe to Heal Newsroom

Let us first say that we admire the work that Toe to Heal has pioneered and accomplished.  Symbolically, the film represents everyone who has ever danced and will one day find their new beginnings and healing through dance.  We believe that everyone who comes to dance has a story worth telling and one worth listening to.  And, in our great country, that affords so much opportunity, dance becomes our universal language to living life to its fullest.  Our homage to the courage and determination of everyone who made this possible.

Angela Prince
National Director of Public Relations, USA DANCE Inc.

When you're on the dance floor, it transforms you into an entirely different person.  A person that you didn't even know was inside of you.  A lot of people, they don't realize that when they walk into a dance studio - it's gonna change their whole life if they stay.

Sam Sodano, Ohio Star Ball

Many times people say that they live their life to please others and they just don't follow their own dreams and passions, and then they go into dancing and they find what they're looking for.  I think that's the most beautiful part about my job.  People come in and tell you 'okay, I'm here to dance' and as you get to know the person, you just find out that dancing is probably the last thing they are searching for, but it's the venue that gets there.

Alexandra Martin, Dance Instructor

You know, life is about going for it.  And dancing is about going for it.  I mean that's what makes, I think, dancing so special.  I think it teaches a great life lesson.  If we can learn that through dancing, maybe we can apply it to the rest of our lives.
